The Day Field stands were packed with students and alumni on Saturday, October 15th to cheer on the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets as they took on the Bridgewater Eagles in this year’s Homecoming game. The warm afternoon sun and the wafting scent of barbeque promised the fans some good football.  That’s exactly what they got.

The Yellow Jacket offense ran loose on the field with 264 yards passing and 196 yards rushing. The team’s defense kept back Bridgewater with only 179 yards passing and 53 yards rushing. Quarterback Drew Campanale ’24 made several great plays on the field, including a 25-yard run for a touchdown, a pass to David Wallis ’23 for a 65-yard dash, and a pass to Holden Hodge ’24 for a dramatic 30-yard touchdown. The final score was Randolph-Macon 44 and Bridgewater 7.

R-MC has remained undefeated so far in the season, scoring at least forty points during each game, a new record for the school’s football team. Their next game is at Shenandoah University, where they will play against the Hornets on Saturday, October 22nd.
